Nationwide Businesses Ltd (formerly Trinder & Partners) has been selling businesses since the 1950’s. The Nationwide Group of Companies is operated by brothers; Chris & Robert Leonard who are second generation Business Transfer Consultants who have been working in the industry since the 1990’s.

Nationwide Businesses was established by Mark Leonard senior who started his career in commercial estate agency with Christie’s & Co in Cheltenham. Identifying the potential in the sector and keen to be part of the dynamic hub, Mark moved to London and joined Trinder & Partners. With Trinders his enthusiasm and motivation elevated the company within the industry and Mark over saw the company's rebranding as Nationwide Businesses Ltd a name which describes our core role - we sell local businesses nationwide.

In the 1980’s Nationwide Businesses commissioned the building of our 2 story offices in the heart of Purley High Street, just 20 minutes from the centre of London and 500 yards from the main Gatwick Airport train station.

Having been appointed M.D. and keen to move the business forward Mark approached the board and negotiated the acquisition of Nationwide Businesses from Charterhall Finance plc. In 1991 Chris Leonard (BA Economics hons) joined the firm bringing additional energy and direction to the company. As Nationwide Businesses continued to prosper through the recession of the 90s, Robert Leonard, an experienced IT software designer and analyst, joined the team embarking on an information technology revolution. Our award winning website, an industry pioneer, was launched in 1996.
